My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Flamingo Kid.” Here’s an excellent period-piece film that has an endearing performance by a young star. “The Flamingo Kid” was the early spotlight for Matt Dillon and he plays this one perfectly. “The Flamingo Kid” is the coming-of-age story of a young man who gets a summer job at a beach club and learns great life lessons (and gets to admire Janet Jones in that iconic white bathing suit). You simply can’t go wrong watching “The Flamingo Kid” again, since I know you’ve seen it before.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
