My movie reviews A-Z: Today … ‘The Getaway’

My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with 1972’s “The Getaway” from director Sam Peckinpah. With apologies to his other great work “The Wild Bunch,” “The Getaway” is Sam’s best by far. It has two A-list headliners in Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw as a couple on the run after a bank robbery gone wrong. You’ll find it easy to get “The Getaway” (but don’t be fooled by savagely execrable remake with the talentless ego-ridden fool named Alec Baldwin) and you won’t stop talking about long after you see it. “The Getaway” is just great American cinema.

I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
