My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Grease” and its sequel, the so-cleverly named “Grease 2.” The “Grease(s)” are both interesting films despite the sequel being such crap. They offer a contrast in style and casting and also show you how to make a film and how not to make one. “Grease” just celebrated its 40th anniversary this summer – Ouch! – and “Grease 2” was released four years later. Actually, I shouldn’t be too critical of the name of the sequel. It could have been worse … such as “Greased” or “Greasier” or “Grease Again.” You won’t have trouble finding either “Grease(s),” so watch the original and sing along with it!
