My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Grosse Pointe Blank.” You’d never believe that a story about an amoral hitman could make a “quirky” film, but it does with “Grosse Pointe Blank.” And, it has the cast with the acting chops to pull it off. “Grosse Pointe Blank” stars John Cusack as a killer coming home to the tony Grosse Pointe, Mich., community for his high school reunion. His name is “Martin Blank” and in “Grosse Pointe Blank” you get the obvious and not-so-obvious metaphors. If you haven’t seen “Grosse Pointe Blank,” then get it quick! Or, if you’ve seen it, don’t waste time and see it again!
