My movie reviews A-Z: Today … ‘The Guns of Navarone’

My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Guns of Navarone.” Here is one of THE classic World War II movies and it was adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Alistair MacLean. It is somewhat an espionage story as a commando group is tasked with destroying a German gun emplacement on a Greek island. “The Guns of Navarone” has screen legend Gregory Peck as the headliner and not far behind in on both the movie poster and acting are David Niven and Anthony Quinn. The entire cast of “The Guns of Navarone” gives an award-winning performance and the film won an Oscar for special effects and was nominated for six others including best picture and best director. Watch it immediately if you haven’t seen it; watch “The Guns of Navarone” sooner if you have.

I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
