My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Let It Ride.” Here is an example of a movie with a great cast headlined by Richard Dreyfuss that never lives up to its potential. However, “Let It Ride” is a watchable film about a degenerate gambler who gets a “sure thing” tip on a horse race. It is funny in most places, but not fall-down funny. “Let It Ride” gives you a nice look at gamblers and gambling, but never manages to accomplish what it would like: To be a great comedy-drama. You’ll have to work on finding “Let It Ride,” but it does make the rounds on cable on occasion.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
