My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Scanners.” Here’s the cult fave by David Cronenberg that could have been so much better. It has a great story; underrated actors; and a great director. However, “Scanners” doesn’t come together to be a truly classic sci-fi flick. “Scanners” is the story of the accidental creation of people with enhanced psychic powers and how people want to gain control of these freaks. “Scanners” is thoroughly enjoyable, but, at times, tough to take. It’s a roller coaster ride, but “Scanners” is actually worth it.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
