My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Shaun of the Dead.” I didn’t believe they could make a better zombie film than 1978’s “Dawn of the Dead,” but then along came “Shaun of the Dead” in 2004. It would only be eclipsed by “Zombieland” five years later and “Shaun of the Dead” remains locked in as the second-best zombie flick of all time. Credit Simon Pegg as the guiding force behind this one. He’s simply wonderful in “Shaun of the Dead” and is spot-on, as our British cousins would say, as the retiring dude who becomes a zombie killer. Don’t worry, you’ll easily find “Shaun of the Dead” in the cable world. So, don’t delay … watch it (again)!
