My movie suggestion today is … to possibly watch “Tough Guys” with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. I write “possibly” only because “Tough Guys” doesn’t stand the test of time. Many parts of it either do not work today or a bit of an embarrassment today. “Tough Guys” is the story of two old guys who get out of prison (they’re the greatest bank robbers, but served a bunch of time for robbing a train) and things just don’t work out for Lancaster at the old folks home or for Douglas in the wonderful world of minimum wage jobs – Burt is the older of the two in the story. “Tough Guys” Isn’t bad, but if you have a nice memory of it … just leave it that way.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
