Try this flick … “Operation Petticoat.” Here’s a 1959 comedy with Cary Grant and Tony Curtis that happens during World War II. Yes, I know … comedy … WWII. However, “Operation Petticoat” has a logical story line and, even better, wonderful work by those two screen legends. “Operation Petticoat” also has solid work by a supporting cast you’ll probably know more from ’60s and ’70s TV show (try “Mrs. Cunningham” and “Capt. Steubing”). There is also the backstory where Grant was dabbling in LSD at the time of the filming of “Operation Petticoat.” Oh, wow! You’ll easily find “Operation Petticoat,” so watch it (again).
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
