Try this flick … “Cocktail.” OK, so this one earned a bunch of “worst” awards, but you actually need to watch it (possibly again) to fully appreciate that “Cocktail” is a watchable movie. “Cocktail” stars Tom Cruise and, while he’s a bit … ah, eccentric in his personal life and philosophy, he knows how to deliver watchable performances – and that’s why I watch an actor. “Cocktail” is mostly bolstered by the work of two supporting actors: Bryan Brown and Elisabeth Shue. Both elevate the film to “watchable” from “utter crap” and rescue it from the clutches of stereotypes and bad direction. So, check out “Cocktail” is you’d like some fluff in these coronavirus-alert days.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
