Try this flick … “Real Genius.” OK, so I’m a sucker for R-rated raunchy comedy. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t watch the mostly family-friendly efforts such as “Real Genius.” Here’s Val Kilmer’s second film after the underratedly hilarious “Top Secret!” and he’s just as funny in this one as his first. “Real Genius” is the story of a boy who goes to college at a very young age and becomes the protégé of the former boy-genius who’s falling on difficult times – make it “The Big Bang Theory” before there was a “Big Bang Theory” of young geniuses ruling the roost. “Real Genius” tries to give a political message, but it’s more the comedy and fun that the cast has with the film that makes it so endearing. So, search the cloud and find “Real Genius” … you won’t be disappointed!
