Watch It! From a couple of bad flicks to recommend watching burning dumpsters to one of the best you never saw: “Thank You for Smoking.” Here’s an outstanding film that’s a tour-de-force for Aaron Eckhart. “Thank You for Smoking” is the story of the head PR executive for the tobacco industry. Eckhart is extroverted, smart, cool and is the most Alpha of Alpha dogs. “Thank You for Smoking” is as relative today as it was when it came out in 2006 with its message of how advertising is used to manipulate the public. A sensational supporting cast that includes William H. Macy, Maria Bello and David Koechner makes “Thank You for Smoking” even more of a treat. The only discordant note in the film is that you are forced to see the talentless Katie Holmes on screen. Still, “Thank You for Smoking” is one of the best you never saw … Watch It!
