Watch It! The original “Ocean’s 11” is great cinema, what with its grand cast from Frank Sinatra to Dean Martin to Sammy Davis Jr., but it is much more than that image. “Ocean’s 11” is a grand cultural view of entertainment at the time: The story is farfetched and impossible, but you watch and enjoy because of the cast having so much fun … just being themselves. “Ocean’s 11” is the story of a group of U.S. Army buddies who get together to heist casinos in Las Vegas. It’s outlandish, but that doesn’t matter with “Ocean’s 11.” It’s first “reboot” (click here to read my review of “Ocean’s Eleven“) with Brad Pitt and George Clooney was meant to replicate the “coolness” of the actors in the original (it does and the third “reboot” called “Ocean’s Thirteen” – click here for my review – is great, too … while the second is a piece of crap). The original “Ocean’s 11” is easy to find, so you should … Watch It!
