Looking on the big screen at your home today, check out the original “Fun with Dick and Jane” from 1977. It stars George Segal and Jane Fonda and is far superior to the so-called “reboot” of the same name in 2009 with Jim Carrey and Téa Leoni. “Fun with Dick and Jane” is the story of a middle-class couple who finds themselves poor when “Dick” gets fired. After a bunch of mundane silliness, they turn to crime to make ends meet … and then some! “Fun with Dick and Jane” offers many humorous scenes and is highlighted by sparkling dialog and great work by all the actors. Too bad that the “reboot” came nowhere near measuring up, since I enjoy the work of both Carrey and Leoni. However, you’ll get a big kick out of Segal and Fonda in “Fun with Dick and Jane.”
I’m sure that you’ll be able to find “Fun with Dick and Jane,” so make the effort for your “big screen” at home!
