When you hear the throaty growl of a real internal combustion engine, you check out the vehicle. Well, I wasn’t disappointed today when I enjoyed the sound of a normally aspirated Detroit V-8 and, sure enough, it was in a traditional American sports car: This Ford Mustang. I didn’t have enough time to see exactly what year and what engine configuration it sported, but it obviously sounded like a big-block! Ah, the sights and sounds of great cars is never far away here in Naples, Fla. I got this shot on Nov. 25, 2022, near our home here in Naples. I was stopped for a red light and there was no mistaking the sound! Of course, it could be a small-block 289 cubic inches, but I couldn't tell.
