Today’s “must” movie is “Big Fat Liar.” Sure, this is a true kids flick where the youngsters outsmart the adults, but “Big Fat Liar” actually allows folks older than 12 to enjoy it. The two headliners, Frankie Muniz and Amanda Bynes, do good work and supporting actor Paul Giamatti, who evolved into an actor’s actor in the 21 years since “Big Fat Liar” was released, manages to make you laugh throughout.
“Big Fat Liar” is the story of a boy who lies, lies and then lies some more. He’s kind of a poor example of a somewhat ripping off “Ferris Bueller.” However, Muniz manages to grind the character out and does an acceptable job. Bynes is solid as his sidekick in all his antics. You’ll have to suspend you disbelief for this one, but, make no mistake, “Big Fat Liar” will win you over.
There’s not much else to write about “Big Fat Liar,” so make sure you manage to find time to watch it today … you’ll have some fun, I guarantee it!
