I wouldn’t normally photograph any worker on their job (or much less post it), but I wanted to let you know that the staff at the North Collier Drop-Off Recycling Center is doing a top-notch job today (Monday, Oct. 7, 2024) in the rain as everyone prepares for Hurricane Milton, which is now a major-class storm headed for Florida’s west coast. I needed to dispose of the contents in a pair of five-gallon cans that contained old gasoline. Collier County processes (“recycles?”) such material and the North Naples facility was efficient this morning — you don’t even get out of your vehicle. I got this shot as I waited for two staff members to complete the process. They did; and I refilled the cans at a nearby convenience store in preparation for the storm. BTW … I’m only posting this image because the one staff member is wearing a raincoat with a hood and you cannot see his face.
