Get out your “cuppa” today! Today is Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, and each Jan. 12 is national Hot Tea Day! My staple is black tea with lemon and I make it from loose-leaf tea(s). Each morning, I favor an Irish Breakfast blend and the rest of the day I drink Gold Silk Black tea from China. I have purchased my loose teas from the Holy Mountain Trading Company of San Francisco since the 1980s. Here’s a previous morning’s “cuppa” – as our British cousins would say – from 2025 and the photo was taken at our home here in Naples, Fla.
