Spring Break in D.C.: Some baubles from Napoleon at the Smithsonian

Too cool! Allison is visiting friend in Washington D.C. for a few days on Spring Break from University of Florida and got this photo of the Napoleon Diamond Necklace and the Marie-Louise Diadem at the Smithsonian Museum. Quite a history behind the pieces. The foundation is that they were a “gift from Emperor Napoleon to his second wife, Marie-Louise, to celebrate the birth of their son, Napoleon II … in 1811 …” Much more followed. Allison got the shot on Feb. 28, 2016.
