Here are photos showing how the “Writer’s Stop” coffee shop next to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant has gone from our favorite “quiet” spot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to a construction site. Look close, you’ll see “Writer’s Stop” on the window of the building at the far right in the photo above. In order to make way for the new Star Wars area, Walt Disney World closed the “Stop” and you can see today’s construction in the photo above and to the right. The
other photo is what the “Stop” looked like in 2015 from a previous blog post (look close, the “Stop” is in shade in the old photo). We got the two new shots on March 4 and March 6 of 2017 while vising the park on a long weekend. Sorry, Disney, but you make a mistake closing this one.
