CBS caught this beautiful contrail over The Masters

OK, so I like photographing contrails. For my latest, I was at Alfred A. McKethan Stadium at Perry Field at my beloved University of Florida in Gainesville when I got this shot. What you see is the contrail crossing near the sun and the glare and lens flare. You also see the protective net screening behind home plate. I got the shot on June 3, 2017, before the first pitch of an NCAA Regional game between Bethune-Cookman and Marist. BC won 4-2 and UF played later.

I wish I had been at Augusta National Golf Club to see The Masters in person this year, but I’d also would have liked to be able to photograph this contrail. The folks at CBS caught it during final round coverage on April 8, 2018, and it was beautiful in HD – this shot (big photo above) from my iPhone doesn’t do it justice. However, I’d still say my favorite contrail that I’ve photographed is the other pictured on this page (small one with caption below it).
