OK, here’s a different style of license plate that I spotted yesterday (Saturday, July 26, 2025) while driving near our home here in Naples, Fla. Several states including Iowa have an all-black license tag offered to the public and Florida once did, too. However, I couldn’t find an all-black plate in the current list of Florida’s specialty tags and there were many with black backgrounds but sports or college or other images. Some companies offer an all-black tag, but they are not official for plates and the one in this photo has “Florida” at the bottom, while the others do not. Odd! Click here to check out all my photos of specialty tags … or click here to see the state’s offerings of specialty tags … (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
