Today I’m beginning an alphabetical posting of my movie reviews on this blog. One day, one movie. A to Z. The first is “Adventures in Babysitting.” It’s a wonderful flick and the first as director by Chris Columbus, who was Steven Spielberg’s protégé at the time and would go on to “Home Alone(s),” “Mrs. Doubtfire” and a couple of “Harry Potter” efforts. He’d get an Oscar nomination for being a producer on “The Help,” but “Adventures in Babysitting” doesn’t take a back seat to any of them.
