My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with the iconic beach flick “Beach Party.” Because of alphabetizing, I’ve already posted its 1980s sequel “Back to the Beach,” but while each are watchable, each are also different. “Beach Party” is Frankie (Avalon) and Annette (Funicello) on the beach in their much younger days. It was a naïve time in the days of “Beach Party,” but still somewhat strange (the high school kids drink beer, eat pie – don’t say it – and hangout at a bar). However, “Beach Party” is simply a great trip down memory lane. “Beach Party” is easy to find, so don’t be a gremmie or a hodad and watch it!
