My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Boiler Room.” This one is actually deeper than you’d get with a first impression. “Boiler Room” doesn’t have the excesses you see in “The Wolf of Wall Street” and it isn’t as recognized as “Wall Street” and its signature bad guy “Gordon Gekko” (it came out between the two), but “Boiler Room” is certainly worth your time. It’s cast was up-and-coming at the time (and most haven’t arrived yet), but you’ll find it quite solid. I’m usually put off by Giovanni Ribisi’s whiny style of acting, but he pulls off a good one here. So, check out “Boiler Room.” You won’t be disappointed.
So, I’ve begun posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
