Another look at the WWII Memorial in honor of D-Day

Today is the 74th anniversary of the “Longest Day” – that is, the landings in Normandy, France, during World War II that is forever remembered as D-Day. In honor of all those who served on that fateful and immediately iconic day of June 6, 1944, I’m bringing back a photo that I previously posted. Allison got this dramatic shot of pillars at the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. on Feb. 28, 2016. It is also called the National WWII Memorial on its official website.
