My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Choirboys.” Here is a prime example of how Hollywood can completely and utterly ruin an outstanding novel’s translation to the big screen. “The Choirboys” is a cop movie based on the best-seller of the same name by Los Angeles cop-turned-novelist Joseph Wambaugh. However, “The Choirboys” film stinks. From it’s awful writing to it’s pitiful excuse of production to what they thought would pass for acting. “The Choirboys” is bad. Read the book. It’s Wambaugh’s best!
