My movie reviews A-Z: Today … ‘Cross of Iron’

My alphabetical posting of suggested films is updated today … to watch “Cross of Iron.” OK, so this isn’t Sam Peckinpah’s best (far from it … “The Getaway” has that honor), but it is his only World War II movie. “Cross of Iron” stars James Coburn and Maximilian Schell and is the story of a German infantry unit commanded by Coburn and the envy he generates from newly-installed commander Schell. “Cross of Iron” is really not a great war movie (or even good Peckinpah flick), but its battle sequences are superb. So, “Cross of Iron” is easy to find … watch it!

So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
