My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Dogma.” Here is arguably director Kevin Smith’s best work and it manages to piss off just about everyone as “Dogma” eviscerates conservative ideals, religion and pretty much glorifies drugs and revels in violence. However, “Dogma” isn’t just some puerile flick with no depth, it is layered, intelligent and the work by the top-notch cast is top-notch. You’ll have to actually listen to the dialogue in “Dogma” to get it … that is, if you aren’t offended too much to stay with it. Hang in there, I’ll tell you that “Dogma’s” worth it.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
