My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Donnie Brasco.” Here is a film titled for the undercover name of an FBI agent who famously infiltrated the Mafia in New York. “Donnie Brasco” is a good film – but I had to watch it a second time to appreciate its good points – and it stars mega-stars Al Pacino as the Mob mentor to FBI agent Johnny Depp (long before his personal and financial lives took a Brodie). “Donnie Brasco” isn’t a great gangster film, but it is much better than expected. You can catch “Donnie Brasco” on the cable grid, as it often makes the rounds.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
