My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.” I have to say that I have a soft spot in my heart for stoners “Harold” and “Kumar” and that the “H&K” films are funny (well, except the Christmas one in 3D). “H&KEFGB” is funny from beginning to end. It is profane; it is vulgar; it is crude; it is rude; and you just keep laughing, even when you are totally offended. Plus, “H&KEFGB” has a scene where the boys parachute into “George W. Bush’s” house (I used quote marks on the name because it’s a character in the film, not our former president) that is the funniest in the movie – and one of the funniest in movies over the past 25 years. So, put your disgust aside and watch “H&KEFGB” … you won’t be disappointed.
