My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “A History of Violence.” Here is a really sensational film by director David Cronenberg and it brought an Oscar nomination for William Hurt in the shortest-ever time on screen to earn such an nomination. “A History of Violence” is the story of a man whose past catches up with him in a violent, evil way and the only way out is for more and escalating violence. “A History of Violence” isn’t an easy film to watch – and I’m not just talking about the violence. However, you’ll be glad that you did!
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
