My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Jericho Mile.” Here’s a perfect example of why TV movies need to live on … “The Jericho Mile” is one of the best prison films you’ll see … actually, it’s a great film no matter what the genre. It’s from Michael Mann before his extreme success with TV’s “Miami Vice” and “The Jericho Mile” is about as far removed from that more iconic show than you can imagine. “The Jericho Mile” is the story of a prisoner who runs (really, really fast) while serving a sentence for manslaughter in California’s brutal Folsom prison. Don’t miss this one and make every effort to find “The Jericho Mile.”
