My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Long Riders.” Here’s a pretty good look at the Jesse James-Younger gang in its heyday. I’m not a big fan of Westerns, but “The Long Riders” is good because the different families are presented by actors from their own real families. “The Long Riders” has its flaws, but is very watchable. I like that there’s gunplay and action, but it is the characters that dominate – especially since each does it in his own way. “The Long Riders” is worth your time.
