My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Mechanic” with Charles Bronson. “The Mechanic” is an action film starring Bronson where he is an assassin mentoring a young assassin-to-be. However, this film is so much more than that. “The Mechanic” is a real motion picture and was worthy of the awards it did not win (or even receive an nomination). Here is Bronson’s second-best film after “Death Wish.” Yes, both movies have been unfairly stereotyped but are real motion pictures with real drama. Don’t dismiss “The Mechanic” if you first see the remake (a piece of crap). Bronson is “The Mechanic” and they shouldn’t have remade it.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
