My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with the original “Red Dawn” from 1984. “Red Dawn” was the fantasy scenario where the United States would be invaded by the Soviet Union using their Cuban and central American allies. “Red Dawn” remains a big hit with the ultra-right-wing and survivalist groups and is a pretty good action flick. “Red Dawn” was remade, but that one, like most other sickening “reboots,” is terrible and you should stick with the original. “Red Dawn” has some decent work in it and you’ll recognize more than one actor such as Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, Jennifer Grey or Lea Thompson.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
