My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Rough Cut.” Here’s one of my favorite Burt Reynolds films that you’ve never experienced. In “Rough Cut,” he lives in England (of all places) is a restauranteur and jewel thief and is battling screen legend David Niven, who plays a Scotland Yard detective. Toss in Lesley-Anne Down as the femme fatale of “Rough Cut” and you have a nice caper film that’s highlighted by Burt’s usual breeziness and generally casual attitude in a film. “Rough Cut” is next to impossible to find (I had to dig out the VHS version and my VHS player), but it is well worth your time.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
