My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “The Seven-Ups.” Here’s a really outstanding 1970s cop flick from the makers of “The French Connection” (but, no it’s not a William Friedkin film). “The Seven-Ups” is the story of a bunch of special detectives called “The Seven-Ups” because their criminals get that much in prison time when conviced. However, there’s shenanigans afoot and you’ll enjoy the whole schmear. “The Seven-Ups” has as good a car chase as the previously mentioned film, but it’s certainly not Oscar-quality. Still, you’ll enjoy “The Seven-Ups.”
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
