My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Smokey and the Bandit.” Here is Burt Reynolds’ signature film. He’s the “Bandit” and always will be, even following his death in 2018. “Smokey and the Bandit” hit the big screen during the CB radio craze of the mid- to late-1970s and the “Bandit” ruled the road. You won’t find much in the way of award-winning acting in “Smokey and the Bandit,” but you will find a fun film that’s easy to watch; enjoyable to finish; and you get entertainment legend Jackie Gleason as the biggest redneck sheriff you can ever seen on-screen. So, “Smokey and the Bandit” is worth your while again … and again … and …
