My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Target.” Here’s a forgotten gem of an espionage thriller starring Gene Hackman and Matt Dillon. “Target” is the story of a man whose past in the CIA is exposed when his wife, traveling alone to Europe (they’re having problems), gets kidnapped by someone seeking revenge. Then, the couple’s son (Dillon) gets involved and “Target” takes off. “Target” is well-acted, well-written and simply a wonderful motion picture. Hackman is his usual outstanding best and “Target” has enough twists and turns to satisfy the most die-hard espionage fan.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
