My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “10.” Here is one of the all-time great comedies, but is actually a great motion picture, too. “10” is fall-down funny, interesting and quite adult in all its facets. “10” is the film where you first saw Bo Derek (and never forgotten her, have you?), but it is truly a showcase for Dudley Moore and, to a lesser extent, Julie Andrews. “10” is the story of a man who becomes enamored with a young woman. First, from afar. Then he gets real close. Along the way there is watching a neighbor’s orgies via telescope; drinking and doing pain-killers after a visit to a dentist and the ensuing hilarity; a quick trip to a resort in Mexico for an unforgettable encounter with the woman … on her honeymoon. Whew! “10” is everything you like in a sensational comedy. Watch it again, since I know you’ve already seen it!
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
