My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “21.” Here’s a movie from a book about the true story of a “team” of college students who were brilliant card counters and hustled Las Vegas casinos for millions of dollars. “21” as a film isn’t as impressive as the feat of the students, but it is a very watchable film (despite having Hollywood’s biggest pariah – Kevin Spacey). “21” takes you from the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to the high-roller action of Vegas and does so in a neat, streamlined way. “21” isn’t great cinema, but you’ll enjoy it (unless your stomach is churned too much by the mere presence of Spacey).
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
