Well, the 2018-19 NHL season is over for our Florida Panthers, but they’re making moves! First, on April 7, the Panthers fired the second-year coach who couldn’t get them to the playoffs the past two seasons and today (April 8) hired a coach with the second-most wins in league history and a trio of Stanley Cup wins as a coach. As for this photo, it’s a scene that the Panthers need to reprise many more times in the coming 2019-20 season: It’s what home ice looks like when they win! I got this shot Feb. 2, 2019, after they notched a 3-1 triumph over the Vegas Golden Knights – a team coached by our former coach (and they were in the Stanley Cup finals last season).
