My movie suggestion today is … to watch “The Killer Elite.” OK, so it’s not Sam Peckinpah’s greatest (that would be “The Getaway” with Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw). However, in “The Killer Elite,” you’ll find an action film that is a motion picture with emotion and a message. Take what you will from “The Killer Elite,” from its A-list cast headed by James Caan and Robert Duvall to great supporting work by Bo Hopkins and Burt Young to the best supporting work by Mako, but here’s Peckinpah. “The Killer Elite” … oh, “The Killer Elite” was NOT remade. There is a flick called “Killer Elite” from 2011 (note that there’s no “The”), but it was a shameless taking of a name familiar to some moviegoers.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
