My movie suggestion today is … to watch “Brass Target.” Here’s an interesting movie that plays to the conspiracy theory that U.S. Gen. George Patton was assassinated. “Brass Target” (guess who?) is the story of Patton upsetting the bad guys’ apple cart and ticking them off enough to have him killed. John Cassavetes does his usually outstanding job with this one and while it has some great moments, overall, “Brass Target” isn’t that great of a film. George Kennedy tries too hard as Patton and Sophia Loren is in the film just because of her name. The underrated performance in “Brass Target” is by Max von Sydow as the assassin. So, you’ll have to do a little to find it, but you’ll like it despite its flaws.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog. Below is the link back to the original review.
