Try this flick … “Runaway Jury.” Here’s another legal thriller adapted from a John Grisham novel and you’ll like “Runaway Jury.” It has a stellar cast that includes Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman, plus ostensible headliners in John Cusack and Rachel Weisz. “Runaway Jury” is a story of the manipulation of a jury in a civil lawsuit against the firearms industry (Grisham’s novel took on Big Tobacco), but the fun in the film is figuring out the motive behind the plan by Cusack-Weisz to sell a verdict to either side – the biggest bidder wins! “Runaway Jury” isn’t great cinema, but it does have Hackman. So, get out there and watch it … most likely again!
