Try this flick … “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.” Here’s the hands-down best “Star Trek” film ever made and it is because of the story dating back to the original TV series and the work by Ricardo Montalbán. “Wrath of Khan” picks up the story of how Montalbán and his band of genetically-engineered humans turn up years later to strike back at “Capt. James T. Kirk,” who marooned them on a desolate planet as punishment for attacking the USS Enterprise. “Wrath of Khan” is simply wonderful because of the passion Montalbán brings to his character and it’s amazing for him to be able to show that kind of emotion 15 years after the original episode on TV – “Space Seed” from Feb. 16, 1967.
