With her passing at 57 of breast cancer on July 12, 2020, I’m recommending you check out two movies in which Kelly Preston was the co-star. She did good work in both “SpaceCamp” and “Twins” and played very different characters in each. Preston, who was married to movie superstar John Travolta for 28 years, was the pretty brainiac who accidentally went into space with other kids in 1986’s “SpaceCamp” (and the film was overshadowed by the tragedy of the Challenger explosion earlier the same year) and was the beautiful sister who captured Arnold Schwarzenegger’s attention in “Twins” with Danny DeVito. She had 72 acting credits in a career that began in 1980 with an episode of the original “Hawaii Five-O” as Kelly Palzis – and her birth name was Kelly Kamalelehua Smith. She’s probably best-remembered for “Jerry Maguire” with Tom Cruise and was also in “From Dusk Till Dawn.” So, RIP, Kelly.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
