First a black bear and now a downed bicyclist! I gotta stop driving down Orange Blossom Drive near our home here in Naples, Fla. – especially on a Saturday after I went to the Headquarters branch of the Collier County Public Library. A few weeks ago after leaving the library, I saw a bear crossing the road and clambering over a fence into a gated community (no photo, since I couldn’t get my iPhone going in time), and, now on July 18, 20202, I see flashing lights as an emergency crew and a Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputy help an injured bicyclist next to the road. I don’t know if the bicyclist just fell or what. If I go down that road next Saturday after visiting the library … well, who knows what will happen. PS: The line across the image is the reflection of my dashboard on the windshield as my phone as in its cradle.
